The National Plan for Comprehensive Technical, Technological and Research Promotion Assistance aims to strengthen the productive capacities of the peasant, family and community economy through the provision of the public agricultural extension service. It focuses on providing free technical and technological assistance to small producers, prioritizing women heads of households and offering a progressive subsidy to medium-sized producers. The AT Plan also seeks to integrate agricultural research and innovation with the use of communication and information technologies, promote the protection and use of native seeds, and strictly regulate GMOs to safeguard the country's genetic heritage and biodiversity. For its implementation, it will be coordinated with various entities in the agricultural sector and will be supported by the National Agricultural Innovation System (SNIA). This plan is part of the Comprehensive Rural Reform (RRI) that aims to structurally transform the countryside, closing gaps between the countryside and the city, and improving the living conditions of the rural population. The aim is to guarantee the sustainability of peace and promote the social and economic development of rural regions affected by violence and poverty.
