Venezuela seed law

The Venezuelan Seed Law aims to preserve, protect, guarantee and promote the production, multiplication, conservation, free circulation and use of seeds. The law also seeks to protect food sovereignty and GMO-free foods. It establishes that local, peasant, indigenous and Afro-descendant seeds, as well as all seeds generated with State resources, can be improved, produced, exchanged and marketed freely throughout the national territory.
