Fecha de inicio: 01/01/2021
Fecha de fin: 31/12/2026

Description

The OECS Climate Change Adaptation Strategy and Action Plan (CCASAP) 2021-2026 is a comprehensive framework aimed at increasing the resilience of the Eastern Caribbean to the adverse effects of climate change. The strategy outlines a vision for enhancing regional adaptation efforts, bolstering climate governance, and facilitating access to climate finance, with a strong focus on sustainable, inclusive socio-economic development. The CCASAP identifies three strategic transformative pathways for achieving its goals. The first pathway focuses on improving access to climate data and information to support decision-making. The second pathway aims to build regional capacities for implementing climate-resilient socio-economic interventions. Finally, the third pathway seeks to enhance leadership and governance, with a particular emphasis on mobilizing resources and facilitating access to adaptation finance. These pathways are intended to provide actionable, scalable solutions to adapt to climate variability, promote resilience, and ensure that all member states and stakeholders collaborate effectively to address the ongoing and future impacts of climate change.
