Fecha de fin: N/A

Description

The Economic and Social Development Plan of the Department of Meta for the period 2016-2019, called "El Meta, Land of Opportunities. Inclusion - Reconciliation - Equity", focuses on five essential strategic axes: Inclusive and Equitable Human Development, Infrastructure for Opportunities, Economic and Territorial Sustainability, Peace and Reconciliation, and Institutional Strengthening. These axes seek to improve human and economic development indicators, promote Meta as an agricultural and tourist region at the national level, and foster an environment of peace and inclusion. The plan responds to specific needs such as reducing inequalities, improving quality of life and taking advantage of its cultural and natural diversity. The main activities of the plan include alliances between local, regional and national actors to promote ecological and inclusive development. These activities focus on increasing income and employment for disadvantaged populations and promoting sustainable use of natural resources. The implementation of ecotourism initiatives and sustainable production methods in rural areas stands out, as well as the improvement of infrastructure and the strengthening of institutional capacities to support these objectives. Additionally, the inclusion of young people and minorities in these processes is prioritized, ensuring their active and beneficial participation in the economic and social development of the department.
