Suspension of the "Rice Route" decree

Costa Rican court suspended a measure by President Rodrigo Chaves that had drastically reduced the tariff on rice imports. from 35% to 4%. The court decision is based on the fact that this tariff reduction seriously harms local producers, causing many to abandon the activity due to the lack of state support.
