Description
The framework proposes six main objectives to improve climate resilience, including integrating climate resilience into planning and management, increasing the resilience of the built environment, mobilizing capital and innovation, equipping communities with the resources necessary to assess and respond to risks climate, sustainably manage lands and waters, and help communities become safer, healthier, more equitable, and economically stronger. Proposed actions include modernizing building codes to withstand extreme weather conditions, promoting investments in innovative technologies that improve resilience, and implementing nature-based solutions such as reforestation and wetland restoration. In addition, it seeks to equip communities with tools and data to evaluate and mitigate climate risks, supporting the development of local resilience plans. The importance of integrating social justice into resilience policies is emphasized, ensuring that vulnerable communities receive adequate support and actively participate in the planning and implementation of resilience strategies.
