Law 1731 of 2014 – Financing Measures for the Reactivation of the Agricultural, Fisheries, Aquaculture, Forestry and Agro-industrial Sectors

Law 1731 of 2014 establishes financing measures to promote the reactivation of Colombia's agricultural, fisheries, aquaculture, forestry and agro-industrial sectors and to strengthen the Colombian Agricultural Research Corporation (CORPOICA). Among its measures, it creates the Rural Microfinance Fund, modifies provisions governing the Agricultural Guarantee Fund (FAG), establishes debt-relief measures for beneficiaries of the National Agricultural Reactivation Program (PRAN) and the Agricultural Solidarity Fund (FONSA), and expands the functions of FONSA to facilitate assistance and debt restructuring for producers.
