Sector Strategic Plan “Progress in the Countryside: Productive Transformation, Competitiveness and Rural Development 2019–2022”

The Sectoral Strategic Plan "Agriculture with Progress: Productive Transformation, Competitiveness, and Rural Development 2019–2022" established the guidelines, objectives, outputs, targets, and actions for the Colombian agricultural and rural sector for the 2019–2022 four-year period, in alignment with the 2018–2022 National Development Plan. The Plan was structured around three pillars: productivity and competitiveness; rural development; and modern, technology-driven institutional capacity. It included actions regarding productive zoning, contract farming, science, technology and innovation, financing and risk management, sanitary and phytosanitary standards and food safety, rural income generation, associativity, agricultural logistics, land access and formalization, and the sector's digital transformation.
