CONPES 4069: National Policy on Science, Technology and Innovation 2022-2031 Colombia

The policy is a comprehensive strategy that aims to transform and modernize the country towards a knowledge society, increasing the contribution of STI to sustainable, economic, social and environmental development, seeking to increase investment in research and development (R+D) by 2031, The central objectives of the policy are articulated around seven strategic axes: (1) the promotion of human talent in STI, ensuring the development of skills and the generation of qualified employment; (2) the intensification of the generation of innovative knowledge that responds to social and economic needs; (3) the promotion of technology adoption and transfer to improve competitiveness; (4) the stimulation of the social appropriation of knowledge for greater public awareness of the importance of STI; (5) the capitalization of regional potentialities and the use of the countrys diversity; (6) the dynamization of the SNCTI for more effective and efficient management; and (7) increasing and optimizing financial resources for STI.
