Decree 1834 by which the Intersectoral Commission Coordination Table for the Supply of Agricultural Products and Food Security in Colombia is created

Description

The decree establishes the creation of the Intersectoral Commission "Coordination Table for the Supply of Agricultural Products and Food Security" in Colombia. This commission is created in response to the need to guarantee the population's sufficiency and accessibility to food. The commission is made up of representatives from multiple ministries and government entities, including the Ministry of the Interior, Ministry of National Defense, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (who will chair the commission), among others. Its main objective is to coordinate, articulate and manage intersectorally the production of information that facilitates decision-making regarding the supply of agricultural products, thus ensuring food security in the country. Among its functions, the commission will be in charge of guiding the collection of updated information, recommending measures regarding the promotion and protection of food production, and advising government entities on food supply and security.
