Special Rural Education Plan Colombia

The Plan seeks to comprehensively improve education in rural areas, focusing on increasing educational coverage, quality, and relevance from early childhood to higher education. Prioritizes the development of flexible educational models, adapted to rural realities, improvement of infrastructure and teacher training, guarantee of free education and strengthening access and permanence in the educational system. Additionally, it focuses on promoting higher, technical and technological education programs that respond to the needs of rural development, along with research and innovation for the agricultural sector. Likewise, it seeks to increase places in higher education for the rural population, promote the elimination of rural illiteracy and promote vocational training in non-traditional areas for women.
