Description

The Saint Lucia National Adaptation Plan for 2018-2028 is a comprehensive strategy aimed at improving the country's resilience to the adverse effects of climate change. The plan establishes priority intersectoral and sectoral adaptation measures for eight key sectors: tourism, water, agriculture, fisheries, infrastructure and spatial planning, natural resource management (terrestrial, coastal and marine), education and health. Additionally, it outlines a strategy for Saint Lucia to address the impacts of climate change through improved policy frameworks, increased generation and use of climate information in decision-making, improved capacities to design and implement adaptation projects, increased integration of climate adaptation into national development and preparedness agendas. for climate variability and extremes.
