Special Transitory Law to Combat Inflation of Prices of Basic Products in El Salvador (Extended March 2024)

Description

Through the regulations, the Tariff Import Duty (DAI) is eliminated on products such as milk, potatoes, tomatoes, onions, green chilies, beans, meat, bananas, rice, flour, oils, vegetables, animal feed, fertilizers and fertilizers, different types of meat, chicken eggs and others to reduce the price of these products and make them accessible to the population. This transitional law was approved, for the first time, in March 2022 and was extended until March 2026 in March 2024.
