Supreme Decree No. 006-2012-AG: General Regulation of the General Seed Law

Supreme Decree No. 006-2012-AG approves the General Regulations for Peru's General Seed Law and establishes the rules applicable to the research, production, certification, and commercialization of seeds. The Regulations define the competencies of the Seed Authority, production categories and systems, certification and quality control mechanisms, registries for producers and traders, and private sector research and participation; they also incorporate provisions aimed at the sustainable use of plant genetic resources, the conservation of agricultural biodiversity, and the improvement of seed availability and quality.
