Law 385 on Seeds and Protection of Cultivars of Paraguay

The law aims to promote an efficient activity and obtain cultivars; seed production, circulation, marketing and quality control; assure farmers and users in general the identity and quality of the seed they acquire and protect the right of the creators of new cultivars, in harmony with the intra-regional agreements signed or to be signed and with international standards on seeds.
