The PNBV considers among its objectives to guarantee the rights of nature and promote environmental, territorial and global sustainability. In this sense, two key policies are established (7.6 and 7.8), directly linked to the objectives of the Strategy of Water Quality, these being: managing the water heritage in a sustainable and participatory manner, with a focus on ecological basins and flows to ensure the human right to water; and, to prevent, control and mitigate environmental pollution in the extraction, production, consumption and post-consumption processes.
