Ministerial Agreement No. 136-2022 on Pricing of Products Subject to Maximum Sales Price Determination

The Secretariat of Economic Development, based on articles 321 and 331 of the Constitution of the Republic, through the publication of decree PCM 24-2022 in the official gazette La Gaceta, determined days ago that -due to the high cost of products that are basic necessities- 40 of those products would see their prices frozen during the end of the year season. It established a list of control or price fixing to 40 products, due to the high cost of products that are of basic necessity. The decree is in force from December 1 to January 1, 2023, in foods highly consumed in these dates, such as pork chop, which depending on where the consumer buys it in fairs, markets, supermarkets, grocery stores and small markets.
