The Argentine government has eliminated the Import System of the Argentine Republic (Sira) and the associated automatic and non-automatic licenses, in order to streamline import processes and reduce bureaucratic hurdles. This measure was entered into through Joint General Resolution 5466/202, which repealed the Sira and Sirase. In their place, the Import Statistical System (Sedi) was implemented. In addition, through Resolution 1/2023 of the Secretariat of Commerce, the regulations that required permits or licenses to import were eliminated.
