The new "export dollar" in Argentina was implemented through Decree 549/2023, published in the Official Gazette on October 23, 2023. This decree establishes provisions to encourage exports and generate genuine income. According to the decree, during a period of 30 days from its promulgation, the settlement of 30% of the foreign exchange generated by the export of goods or services is allowed at the counted exchange rate with settlement (CCL), while 70% remaining must be settled through the Single and Free Exchange Market (official wholesale dollar). This measure was in force until November 17, 2023.
