Law 10,420 that creates the Harvest Guarantee Fund in Brazil

Fecha de inicio: 10/04/2002
Fecha de fin: N/A

Description

Its main objective is to provide financial support to family farmers who lost their crops due to unfavorable weather conditions, such as drought, excessive rains or other adversities. The program seeks to guarantee the economic security of these farmers, preventing them from facing significant financial difficulties in the event of crop losses. During the agricultural cycle, if production losses exceed 50% of the municipality's historical average, farmers participating in Guarantee-Safra have the right to receive the benefit. This value, which is pre-established, aims to compensate part of the losses suffered, helping farmers recover economically.
