Charter of the United Nations and Statute of the International Court of Justice

The Charter of the United Nations is an international treaty signed in 1945 that sets out the purposes and principles of the organization, as well as its organs and functions. The Charter gives the United Nations the authority to make decisions on a wide range of international problems, and has been amended three times since its creation.
