Decree 1293 that issues the State Policy for the Agricultural Sector of Ecuador 2020-2030

By means of decree 1293, the State Policy for the Ecuadorian Agricultural Sector 2020-2030 is issued, as an instrument of mandatory observance and application, regarding the agricultural sector. within the framework of compliance with the Sustainable Development Goals contained in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development of the United Nations. Art. 2 of said decree indicates the Vision for 2030 “Ecuadorian agriculture will be prosperous, competitive, sustainable and inclusive, based on innovation and differentiation by quality oriented to the demands of national and international markets. under the concept of QUALITY and SUSTAINABILITY, guaranteeing food security and sovereignty and promoting exports; “Agriculture will be recognized and treated as a strategic sector, the driving force of the country’s sustainable development.”
