Description

The Food and Nutrition Security Policy (SAN) is an instrument to combat poverty, targeting the most vulnerable sectors, generating income, agricultural productivity and access to goods for national consumption. The SAN policy is based on a sustainable productive base, the regulated food distribution system, long-term food policies and working on the consumption habits of the population. The production of food and maintenance of varied diets, the storage of surpluses, and distribution regulations constitute a national challenge; forecasts for risk of shortages and produce according to eating habits.
