Executive Decree No. 1303: Development of Biofuels and Biodiesel Blending Mandate in Ecuador

Executive Decree No. 1303 declares the development of biofuels in Ecuador to be of national interest as a means of promoting agricultural development and inclusive rural development while safeguarding food sovereignty and environmental sustainability. It establishes a progressive biodiesel blending mandate using domestically produced biodiesel and provides for technical standards, pricing arrangements and agroecological zoning for feedstock production.
