Organic Law for the Care and Comprehensive Development of Older Adults

The purpose of this Law is to guarantee respect for the human dignity of older persons and the full exercise of their rights and guarantees, the fulfillment of their duties and responsibilities, recognizing their autonomy and free development of personality, through the comprehensive care that the State, families and society must provide to ensure their good living. well-being, quality of life, safety and healthy, active, dignified and happy ageing. Article 29 states that "The State shall promote the training of caregivers of older adults for home care, through educational programs in which families and communities participate. Likewise, it will promote the formation of networks of caregivers with the participation of professionals specialized in this area, together with the staff of the health center near their residence."
