Peru: National Policy on Gender Equality (GEI) Supreme Decree N° 008 -2019-MIMP

The National Policy on Gender Equality (Supreme Decree No. 008-2019-MIMP), establishes as a goal by 2030, the implementation of the National Care System with a gender approach for people in situations of dependency. This guideline is linked to Priority Objective 4: "Guarantee the exercise of womens economic and social rights", through which the economic and social empowerment of Peruvian women and girls is sought, contributing to the reduction of the gaps generated by the sexual division of labor.
