This Resolution regulates the procedures for the evaluation and authorization of activities contained or confined with regulated Genetically Modified Organisms (Plant GMOs). Annex I contains the Regulations for the evaluation and authorization of activities contained or confined with regulated Plant GMOs. The authorizations granted in this framework concern the preservation of the biosafety of the activities during which Plant GMOs are released into the agroecosystem. As established in Article 11, this includes (but is not limited to) general legal regimes on aspects such as plant health and quality, the regulation of international seed production, trade and exchange, as well as environmental and safety regulations. industrial regulations applicable to the industrialization of biomass, which remain within the scope of their respective competencies.
