Presidential Decree No. 04-2022 Approval of the National Climate Change Policy.

This document approves the National Climate Change Policy, the Policy has as principles: 1. Climate justice with reparation; 2. Human development, Good Living and Common Good; 3. Repair of loss and damage; 4. Gender equality; 5. Intergenerational approach; 6. Shared and joint responsibility; 7. Dialogue of knowledge; 8. Prior, free and informed consent; 9. Climate finance; and 10. Climate culture. The main objective of the National Climate Change Policy is to contribute to the fight against poverty and the sustainable human development of Nicaragua.
