Description
The Ecuador National Biodiversity Strategy 2015–2030 establishes the national strategic framework for biodiversity conservation and sustainable use, reduction of pressures on ecosystems and species, equitable sharing of benefits arising from biological resources, and strengthening knowledge and innovation related to natural heritage. It includes sustainable management of agricultural, agroforestry, forestry and aquatic production systems, agrobiodiversity and genetic resources.

Amazon Comprehensive Program for Forest Conservation and Sustainable Production (PROAmazonía)
Program aimed at reducing deforestation and forest degradation in the Ecuadorian Amazon and the southern dry forest, through conservation and sustainable use with a landscape approach. It strengthens territorial planning and life plans with conservation, sustainable production, climate change, gender and interculturality criteria; supports the transition to deforestation-free production systems (coffee, cocoa, palm and livestock); promotes conservation, sustainable forest management, restoration, bio-enterprises and forest traceability; and supports the implementation of REDD+, safeguards, sustainable finance and results-based payments.
Regional Project Resilient Andes to Climate Change
Regional project in Bolivia, Ecuador and Peru that strengthens the capacities of public and private actors to improve the climate resilience and adaptation capacity of poor and vulnerable rural Andean populations, with emphasis on family farming and food and water security.
