Description

The fundamental purpose of the Law is to protect, conserve and improve soils in integrated and sustainable management with other natural resources, through promotion and appropriate environmental planning. and its specific objectives are the following: a) promote the management, as well as the conservation and recovery of soils in a sustained and integrated manner with other natural resources. b) Facilitate the mechanisms for the integrated and coordinated action of the institutions competent in the matter. c) Promote planning through environmental inventories, for balanced use between the use capacity and the productive potential, thereby improving the living conditions of the population. d) Promote the active participation of communities and producers in the generation of decisions on soil management and conservation. e) Promote the implementation and control of improved practices in use systems that avoid erosion or other forms of degradation of the soil resource. f) Promote agroecology as a way to achieve convergence between the objectives of agricultural production and the conservation of soil and water resources.
