Ukraine files WTO complaint against Hungary, Poland and the Slovak Republic

Description

Ukraine has requested consultations with Hungary, Poland and the Slovak Republic within the framework of the WTO regarding the maintenance by these three countries of import bans on certain agricultural products, in particular cereals, from Ukraine. The country claims that the measures imposed by Hungary, Poland and the Slovak Republic appear to be inconsistent with various provisions of the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade 1994 and the WTO Agreement on Agriculture.
