Declaration I of the XXXVI Ordinary Meeting of the Southern Agricultural Council: Access to Third Markets for GMO Products and Their Derivatives

Declaration I of the XXXVI Ordinary Meeting of the Southern Agricultural Council establishes a regional position on access to third-country markets for products derived from genetically modified organisms and their derivatives. It guides the work of the Technical Group on Biotechnology Public Policies and promotes greater coordination and regulatory harmonization among CAS member countries in order to reduce trade barriers associated with differences and asynchronous approval processes for biotechnology events.
