Ecuador: National Irrigation and Drainage Plan (2019 - 2027)

It defines six policies aimed at revitalizing the ecological management of irrigation, integrating irrigation systems into territorial development, improving water efficiency and expanding public and community water resources, ensuring a socially equitable distribution of water, strengthening community management through public-community partnerships, and streamlining the sector's public institutions within the framework of decentralization. It includes an investment plan distributed across twelve programs, prioritizing food sovereignty, family farming, and territorial equity in access to irrigation water.
