This Model Law represents a tool of regional scope that seeks to respond to the care crisis and establish the basis for a new pact in the social organization of care, which redefines its role in society, respects, promotes and protects women's economic rights and the redefining of unpaid care work as work, and protects, ensures and guarantees the rights of dependent persons, promoting care policies that create opportunities for job creation and gender equality, facilitating the inclusion in the labor market of full-time unpaid caregivers, particularly those from disadvantaged groups.
