Fecha de inicio: 01/01/0001
Fecha de fin: 01/01/0001

Description

An alternative to reduce the use of chemically synthesized pesticides are biopesticides based on biological control agents (acb), which have demonstrated high effectiveness, specificity and environmental friendliness. This has led to an increase in the production and market of this type of bioinputs worldwide. However, for the commercialization of these bioinputs to be possible, it is necessary to develop a system of regulation, evaluation and registration that is accessible to the industry and that provides security and support to the user (the farmer). This chapter provides an overview of the current state of national and international regulation and a perspective on the progress and needs in this area. It is clear that the advance of biological control through the search for new microorganisms, new formulations and new implementation strategies must be accompanied by new regulations that are simple, accessible and harmonized worldwide.
