Draft bill to regulate pesticides in the Mexican agricultural sector

Fecha de inicio: 23/11/2022
Fecha de fin: 23/11/2022

Description

Bioinputs are an alternative for gradual and biological pest control, and being products of low risk to human health with origin in living organisms, made from natural substances and/or processes, they are used in agricultural, aquaculture, livestock and forestry production, used for nutritional purposes, stimulants of living organisms or for biological pest control. Mexico cannot ignore global trends, so a clear, efficient and modern regulatory framework is essential to reduce impacts on human health and the environment towards a gradual and orderly agroecological transition that does not jeopardize productivity. One of the best allies to carry out this process are bioinputs, which, in addition to contributing to the agroecological transition, are becoming necessary in the midst of the global shortage of chemical fertilizers.
