[PT] Brazil: National Policy for the Promotion of Precision Agriculture and Livestock

Description

The Presidency of the Republic of Brazil has enacted Law 14,475/22, which establishes the National Policy for the Promotion of Precision Agriculture and Livestock, with the purpose of expanding coordination around agro 4.0 technologies in the country. For the implementation of the new policy, seven guidelines have been established with actions that encompass support for innovation across all production scales; environmental, social, and economic sustainability; technological development and its dissemination; expansion of the research, development, and innovation network in the agricultural sector. Furthermore, efforts are aimed at promoting the expansion of the network and internet connectivity infrastructure in rural areas of the country; coordination and collaboration between federal, state, and municipal public entities and the private sector; and the dissemination of available credit lines for financing precision agriculture and livestock.
