Description

The Plan to face the effects of the El Niño Southern Oscillation (ENSO), foresees two possible scenarios, one moderate and one moderate-strong, which could result in overflowing rivers, flooding, dam damage, shortage of fishery resources, among others. This Action Plan is composed of five phases: Phase 1: Normality: From white alert to yellow alert; Phase II: Mitigation: From yellow alert to orange alert; Phase III: Preparedness for Response: From orange alert to red alert; Phase IV: Response: From red alert to return to normal; Phase V: Reconstruction: From return to normal until the end of activities. Among the actions contemplated are the acquisition of assistance kits for shelters, road maintenance, risk communication campaigns and various educational measures.
