Peru: Law to promote the use of artificial intelligence in favor of the economic and social development of the country

The purpose of law nº 31814 is to promote the use of artificial intelligence within the framework of the national process of digital transformation, privileging the person and respect for human rights to promote the economic and social development of the country in a safe environment that guarantees its ethical, sustainable, transparent, replicable and responsible use. It is in the interest of the Peruvian State to promote digital talent in the use of emerging technologies and new technologies in favor of social and economic well-being, as well as the promotion of the development and use of artificial intelligence for the improvement of public services, of education, health, justice, citizen security, digital security, the economy, inclusion, social programs, national security, and defense, as well as for all other economic and social activities at the national level.
