This policy, together with its Action Plan 2023-2025, aims to promote greater access and progression of women in the country's scientific, technological and innovation environments, promoting their rights, opportunities and talents, and ensuring gender mainstreaming in all STI (Science, Technology, and Innovation) activity.The National Gender Policy-CTI 2040 seeks to improve the attraction, retention, and advancement of women in scientific-technological careers, overcome gender segregation in STI environments, arouse interest and integrate girls and young women in a STI based on values of equality, increase the gender equality capabilities of the actors in the STI ecosystem, promote the participation of women in innovation, and foster inclusive and transformative communication. The Naiconacyt Secretariat will be the governing body of the Policy and its Action Plan, strengthening the concepts, capacities, tools, alliances, and resources necessary to address gender equality in the STI ecosystem in Panama.
