Updating the General Law of Fisheries and Aquaculture of Honduras (DECREE No. 106-2015)

Fecha de inicio: 05/08/2017
Fecha de fin: N/A

Description

Considering that the Fisheries Law, contained in Decree No. 154 dated May 19, 1959, has ceased to be an effective instrument for achieving constitutional mandates regarding the management of hydrobiological resources and the promotion of socio-economic development of the population, the new General Law of Fisheries and Aquaculture is decreed. The purpose of this law is to establish the regulatory framework for the planning, protection, and promotion of hydrobiological resources related to the fishing and aquaculture activities in Honduras, including their extraction, cultivation, utilization, processing, transportation, commercialization, and other related activities.
