Ibero-American Environmental Charter: Commitment to the next Ibero-American generations

Description

This charter was adopted by the Heads of State and Government of the Ibero-American countries in March 2023 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. The document reaffirms the Ibero-American community's commitment to environmental protection and sustainable development, and establishes objectives and principles to achieve these goals. Among the issues addressed in the charter are climate change, biodiversity loss, pollution, water resource management and the promotion of sustainable production and consumption patterns. The charter also stresses the importance of international cooperation and citizen participation in the fight against environmental challenges.
