Description

The main objective of the law is to protect and conserve the country's forest resources, protected areas, and wildlife, ensuring their sustainable use for present and future generations. Among the provisions of the Forest Law of Honduras, the creation of a National System of Protected Areas is included, along with the regulation of the exploitation of forest resources, the protection of wildlife and wild flora, the prevention of forest fires, the promotion of reforestation and the recovery of degraded areas, as well as the regulation of tourism and recreational activities in protected areas, among others.
