The program was instituted by Decree 10.375 and Ordinances 102 and 103, published this Wednesday (27) in the Official Gazette of the Union. The program is one of the pillars of the bioeconomy vision, aiming at the access, development and sustainable use of Brazil's rich biological diversity. The proposal is to contribute to the development of new technological solutions, as well as to generate income, wealth and quality of life for producers, inserted in the different links of the agribusiness production chains and for society as a whole. Another objective is to create a favorable environment for the promotion and financing of infrastructure and funding -through the offer of credit and other economic benefits for the sector- and also for technological innovation in bioinputs. Another action aims to propose the development of standards and protocols for the installation of bioinputs production units - the biofactories - and to discuss specific legal treatments to optimize product registration processes and guarantee legal certainty to producers. In the implementation stages, there are also plans to collect data on the sector; launch public announcements to promote innovation; prepare production protocols for farmers and a national catalog of bioinputs, among other actions.
