Description

The federal law for the promotion and protection of native corn published in the Official Gazette of the Federation on April 13, 2020 is a set of rules of public order, social interest and observance throughout the republic, aiming to declare the activities of production, marketing and consumption of native corn and in constant diversification as a cultural manifesto. It also declares the protection of native corn guaranteeing the human right to nutritious, sufficient and quality food. The last object of this law is to establish institutional mechanisms for the protection and promotion of native corn and in constant diversification.
