Description
The Río Lempa Trinational Border Commonwealth and the member municipal governments of El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras, located in the Central American Trifinio region, as facilitators of territorial and inclusive development, and competent entities for the promulgation and promotion of development plans and management of the territory, they promote the Cross-Border Local Public Policy (PPLT) for Food Security and Nutrition in the context of climate change "Zero Hunger", in response to the deficient nutritional status of underage boys and girls, as well as concern about the impact that climate change is having on food production, employment and the economy of vulnerable families that inhabit the region. The PPLT “Zero Hunger” promotes the right to adequate food for children, women, and men; prioritizes family farming, promotes Agro-ecological Production, sustainable food systems and resilient to climate change in the municipalities.
