Members endorse tools, recommendations to enhance SPS Agreement implementation

WTO members have adopted a range of tools and recommendations to enhance the implementation of the Agreement on the Application of Sanitary and Phytosanitary (SPS) Measures regarding approval procedures for food, animal and plant products. At a meeting of the SPS Committee on 22-24 March, members also advanced discussion on the SPS Declaration work programe adopted at the 12th Ministerial Conference (MC12) in June 2022 and addressed a large number of specific trade concerns.
