Argentina Suspends Poultry Exports

Fecha de inicio: 28/02/2023
Fecha de fin: N/A

Description

On February 28, 2023, Argentina’s National Agri-Food Health and Quality Service (SENASA) selfsuspended poultry exports following the detection of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) in commercial poultry. Argentina is the third largest supplier of chicken products to the People's Republic of China (PRC). However, Argentina’s self-suspension is not expected to impact the PRC's global poultry imports as alternative origin suppliers may be able to bridge the potential supply gap in 2023.
