Partial Scope Trade Agreement No. 28 between the Republic of Colombia and the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela

Partial Scope Trade Agreement No. 28 between Colombia and Venezuela establishes a bilateral legal framework for regulating and promoting trade in goods through preferential tariff treatment, rules of origin, sanitary and phytosanitary measures, technical regulations, trade remedies, a special agricultural safeguard mechanism and dispute settlement procedures. The Agreement seeks to preserve and expand bilateral trade following Venezuela's withdrawal from the Andean Community, facilitate preferential market access and strengthen economic complementarities between the two countries. In 2023, Decision 001 of the Agreement's Administrative Commission amended preferential tariff treatment and specific rules of origin, including provisions applicable to agricultural products.
