National Plan for Gender in Agricultural Policies in Uruguay

The National Plan for Gender in Agricultural Policies (PNG Agro) is a 2021 – 2024 plan built and shared by all public agricultural institutions to reduce gender-based inequalities in access to resources and recognition in rural areas and the agricultural and fishing sector. It has four objectives and a monitoring and evaluation component. Objective I: Promote productive systems and agricultural value chains with gender equity. Objective II: Incorporate knowledge management, extension and agricultural communication. Objective III: Promote the participation and empowerment of women in agriculture and rural areas. Objective IV: Strengthen the gender perspective in agricultural public institutions.
